Somatic Exercise
Hanna Somatic Education, is neuromuscular learning or relearning that engages your nervous system into an active learning process through very slow, focused and conscious movements. This reminds and or teaches your nervous system how to release chronic muscle contraction, relieving chronic pain, correcting postural dysfunction or imbalances, and prevents recurring injuries.
Somatics is the field which studies the soma: the body as perceived from within by first-person perception. (Deepening self-awareness)
These exercises are done while laying in most comfort on a floor, mat or bed, ideally away from all distractions. The movements are done very gently, slow with control, and with the least possible effort - perfect for almost everyone!
I am so excited to share these movements with you. I have experienced lasting change in my body by adding this modality into my daily wellness practices.
